Completely hand turned Honduran Rosewood barrel based on the barrels made for me by Kalmen Opperman. Features naturally aged Honduran Rosewood with a reverse taper designed to improve intonation throughout the instrument and improve resonance and response. Made from a single piece of wood, these barrels blow a bit more freely than those with rings without sacrificing projection or focus.

Honduran Rosewood has long been used in clarinet making. It is more free-blowing and is particularly well-suited for use on A clarinets.
