Completely hand turned Mopane barrel based on the barrels made for me by Kalmen Opperman. Features naturally aged Mopani with a reverse taper designed to improve intonation throughout the instrument and improve resonance and response. Made from a single piece of wood, these barrels blow a bit more freely than those with rings without sacrificing projection or focus.

Mopane is quickly becoming a chosen alternative to African blackwood. It has a similar sound but it sounds slightly warmer and is less prone to cracking.
